Blues team to face Scarlets announced

David Young has named a starting XV for the New YearÂ’s Day clash against the Llanelli Scarlets that shows seven changes from the team that played at Rodney Parade.

There are three changes in the backs with Marc Stcherbina coming in for Tom Shanklin, Tom James coming in on the wing which sees Ben Blair moving back to full back and Nick Macleod moving to the bench. Mike Phillips has also recovered from his wrist injury and starts at scum half.

There are four changes in the forwards with Bradley Davies coming in at second row and a brand new front row with Gary Powell, Rhys Thomas and Gethin Jenkins all starting.

There are only terrace tickets available for the match and supporters are advised to turn up early and bring cash for a speedier service when purchasing their tickets.
