Cardiff Rugby and Cardiff RFC have today launched two new heritage-inspired kits with Macron for the 2026-27 season as the club celebrates its 150th anniversary.
The home and alternate strips will be worn throughout the Sesquicentennial Season by both the Firsts and Rags at Cardiff Arms Park and feature both crests, either side of the Macron hero emblem.
They are the first items of the club’s 2026-27 range officially launched in a season of celebrations in the Welsh capital.

Blue and black features heavily throughout both kits, with the home jersey featuring a traditional quartered design, carrying through onto the sleeves and featuring gold detailing.
Quarters were first worn by the club in 1881 and have been utilised in anniversary seasons previously, including in 1976 and 2001.
The alternate jersey is a throwback to a more contemporary offering, featuring a white base, and blue and black shoulder, sleeves and side panels.
The black is in the form of chevrons, taken from the city’s coat of arms, while the blue features a water pattern, which represents the three rivers that travel through the capital – the Ely, Rhymney and Taff – as well as the Bay and coastline.
Elements celebrating the club’s landmark anniversary feature throughout both kits including the iconic skull and crossbones from the club’s first kit in 1876, sublimated on the back and a special 150 logo.
Inside the collar, a gold tape features the inscriptions CELEBRATING 150 YEARS and YMLAEN CAERDYDD (Forward Cardiff), separated by a representation of the rugby ball taken from the official crest.

The home kit is completed by black shorts with blue piping and black socks with a blue top. The alternate features white shorts with black drawcords, a gold leg hem and side bands echoing the black and blue diagonal pattern of the shirt, while the socks reproduce the same colour combination with a black top.
Both kits are made from Eco Fabric, 100% polyester derived from recycled post-consumer plastic. The main fabric used is Eco Armevo, complemented by inserts in Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh, which combine performance and durability with lightness and breathability.
The new kits, together with the clothing collection created by Macron for Cardiff Rugby, are available in the dedicated section for the Welsh club on macron.com.
