Rhondda Cynon Taf Development officer Adrian Evans and Blues North Development Officer Ben Rose, held a club development session at Taffs Well RFC on Sunday 8th July.
The session was to help Taffs Well RFC in their aim of reforming their Junior Rugby section. The club successfully re-started their youth XV last season and are looking to continue their club development by running U8 and U9 teams for the 07/08 season.
The session was well attended with 15 new players enjoying the session under the guidance of the development officers and Taffs Well coach Rob Mota.
Linking in with the sessions at local primary schools taken by Cardiff Blues Community Coaches, Taffs Well were able to publicise their development session and attract new children into the club.
Adrian Evans said, “We were delighted with the response the club received to this development session and with the enthusiasm of their volunteers and the club’s excellent facilities, I’m sure Taffs Well’s Junior section will go from strength to strength over the next few seasons.”
There will be a follow up session on Sunday 5th August at Taffs Well RFC from 10am-12pm. Any new players wishing to get involved with Taffs Well RFC U8 or U9s should contact Rob Mota on 07765 435716.
