Williams score voted March Try of the Month

18th April 2017

Tomos Williams' second try in the 22-21 defeat at Leinster has been voted March's Cardiff Blues Try of the Month.

The move was started by some fine footwork from Gareth Anscombe, who released Kristian Dacey on the right hand side.

The hooker had the pace to beat Michael Bent on the outside before finding the support of Williams on his inside, who raced clear from more than 40m.

The award could've gone to the scrum-half's first score of the afternoon or Sion Bennett's touch down in the same match, with both tries also highlighting Cardiff Blues' dangerous counter-attacking ability.

Aled Summerhill's interception try against Munster was also on the shortlist. All tries can be seen in the video below.
