Red Dragon FM is officially South Wales’ Number One Station

Red Dragon FM’s latest listener figures released today prove that the station is the most popular according to the people living within their broadcast area.

With an astonishing 277,000 listeners tuning in each week, Red Dragon FM is right at the heart of South Wales and significantly ahead of both its commercial and non-commercial competitors!

These latest figures demonstrate that breakfast presenters Jase and Mel are winning the ratings battle and have even more listeners than Chris Moyles and Terry Wogan!* The last results saw Jase and Mel overtake Chris Moyles and this time they have also knocked Radio 2’s Terry Wogan from the top spot! The breakfast show are proving a huge hit and are currently waking up 196,000 people every week. This is an astonishing 36,000 extra listeners in the last six months.

Reaching 30% of all adults across South East Wales, Red Dragon FM’s new music selection is proving to be a favourite for the radio audience, particularly amongst our 25 – 44 target demographic.

Red Dragon FM has once again increased the gap between its nearest commercial competitor Real Radio and now has 40% more listening hours in comparison.

Red Dragon FM’s Programme Controller Gavin Marshall said:
