In glorious West Wales sunshine Cardiff & Vale U12s got the season off to a flying start with a superb 22-0 win over their Pembrokshire counterparts.

A closely contested first half saw the only score coming from a 50m blindside run from scrum half Will Baird. However, on a big Pembroke Dock Quins pitch the open running rugby and crisp handling of the visitors provided a taster of what was to come. In the opening minutes of the second half left wing Cobi Flowers took full advantage of being put into space and raced over for an excellent score. This was then followed by two brilliant tries from right wing Aaron Reid, one of which was converted by outside half Josh Rees. Standout performance of the day came from the Cardiff & Vale open side flanker Matthew Corfield who worker tirelessly on and off the ball.
