This Saturday, 7 October, 10.30am kick at Llanrumney Universities Playing Fields will be a first as far as Cardiff Schools fixtures are concerned.
In June this year for the first time, the Cardiff Schools first squad were drawn against the A squad. Bearing in mind that both squads are unbeaten at this point in the season there seems to be a mouth-watering fixture on the menu this morning.
Recent history shows a dominance in this competition with the First team winning the final in two of the last three years and the A team winning through to the semi final three years ago.
The match played at Llanrumney with its fast and true surface is bound to reflect the Rugby attitude instilled into both squads and we are sure that a clean and hard confrontation will be witnessed. We also hope that parents will join in this positive spirit.
Our ultimate hope of course is to witness a Cardiff vs. Cardiff As Semi or even Final however if this does not occur each side has the opportunity to play the highest standard of Town rugby in the Plate and Bowl Competitions, whose finals all take place on the same day.
