The Blues under 20s travel to Abercynon RFC this evening to take on the Dragons in the WRU Regional Championship.(kick off 7:30pm).
And a victory over this season’s bottom side, will see the Blues maintain their impressive 100 per cent start to the season.
Having kicked off the new campaign with a 26-23 victory over the Scarlets at Stradey Park, the Blues followed up by beating reigning champions the Ospreys 25-18 thanks to tries from Gareth Jones, Tom Isaac and a penalty try plus 10 point from the boot of full back Kristian Baller.
Now, they will fancy their chances of adding to that when they face a Dragons side who have yet to register a win.
They lost out 10-3 to the Ospreys and 35-5 to the Scarlets at Caerphilly’s Virginia Park.
High performance manager for the Blues region Gafyn Cooper said, “It has been a decent start for all three teams, but we need to keep showing that consistency.
“I think we are developing nicely, but there are no such thing as easy games in this competition, so tonight’s examination will be just as hard as the other two games have been.”In the other game, the Ospreys take on the Scarlets at Stradey Park.
