World Cup at Blues Beach Rugby Festival!

2nd July 2015

The Webb Ellis Cup is coming to Barry as the first-ever Cardiff Blues Beach Rugby Festival takes place on Barry Island Beach on Saturday, July 4 - and there will also be auditions on the day to find Official Mascots for the Rugby World Cup!

Land Rover - a Worldwide Partner of Rugby World Cup 2015 - will be holding open auditions for youngsters (aged 7-13yrs old) to win one of two Official Mascot places for this year’s showpiece tournament.

Auditions will take place at the Blues Beach Rugby Festival held on Barry Island Promenade from 11am.

Please note, this is the ONLY chance in Wales to audition so don't miss out!

As well as mascot auditions, from 4pm, guests will also get the chance to glimpse the Webb Ellis Cup and the custom built Rugby World Cup 2015 Trophy Tour Defender that will carry the Trophy for its 100 day Tour around the UK and Ireland.

For any hopeful mascots they will need to deliver a short audition, undertaking one of the following challenges:

•             Give a passionate rendition of a national anthem of your choice
•             Offer some words of inspiration and advice to a Rugby World Cup 2015 team captain
•             Tell Land Rover how they would welcome a visiting nation to the UK for Rugby World Cup 2015

The best two entries will be rewarded with a place as an Official Rugby World Cup 2015 Mascot at one of the Welsh pool matches!
