We must move on from Munster defeat insists Turnbull

Josh Turnbull insists Cardiff Blues must move on from the defeat to Munster ahead of a season-defining clash against Connacht next week.

Only two games remain in the Guinness PRO14 regular season, with John Mulvihill’s side set to face their two rivals for third place - Connacht and Ospreys - in the coming weeks.

The Welsh international admits there are lessons to be learn from the defeat in Cork and hopes for a favour from Zebre, who take on the Galway-based outfit later today.

The utility forward said: “It was tough today. We couldn’t get our defence going and it’s a game we’re going to have to learn from.

“But we have to move on because we have a huge game in Connacht next week.

“We’ll come into camp on Monday, look back at the tapes and see what we could’ve done better.

“Our attack was good, but when Munster had possession in the second half it became difficult because they managed to cause us problems.

“When we attack, we have to keep hold of the ball and be a bit better in possession in order to create problems for the opposition.

“John said this week that we have to win two out of three games and we feel like we have a chance in Galways next week.

“We’ve beaten Connacht once this season, and have a fantastic opportunity out there but we’ll have to turn up and perform for the full 80 minutes.

“Zebre are capable of causing problems for Connacht, as we found out earlier in the season. They have a strong squad so we’ll see what they can do on Saturday.”
