Wales trio available for selection ahead of Ulster clash

First Team News | 27th February 2023

Dillon Lewis, Rhys Carré and Teddy Williams have been made available for selection ahead of Cardiff's BKT United Rugby Championship clash with Ulster on Saturday (KO 7.35pm).

The Blue and Blacks trio are members of Wales' Guinness Six Nations squad, but are amongst eight players released back to their clubs for this weekend's round of league action.

Uncapped lock Williams is yet to feature in this year's Championship, while loosehead Carré has appeared in all three matches as a replacement. Tighthead prop Lewis, who is only two caps short of a half century, has also appeared in the three fixtures to date, with a single start in Round Two against Scotland.

The trio will rejoin the Wales camp after the weekend’s match to continue preparations for the fourth round Guinness Six Nations match against Italy.

Cardiff are set to welcome third-placed Ulster to the Arms Park for the first time since 2018, and will be targeting a third consecutive home win, with tickets available now. The Blue and Blacks have an exclusive Student Deal available for only £10 while Season Members can opt to Bring a Friend.
