St Albans RFC put on the first of many rugby festivals for local schools in Splott and Tremorfa.

The festival supported by Cardiff Blues and Sport.Cardiff, saw 40 local children from Adamsdown & Moorland Primary Schools receiving fun skill related taster sessions and games coached by ‘Future Blues’ Community Coaches.

Mark Davidson, Schools Liaison for the club said, “It’s great to see so many children enjoy rugby who have never played before. Hopefully they will now come down to the club.

The Under 8’s festival was part of a new junior programme that is being run by the club. St Albans RFC is looking for players and at all age groups, Juniors and Seniors. St Albans RFC is also looking for volunteers to get involved. This ranges from, involvement in the new junior committee to coaches to marketing advisors, Everyone is welcome!

To recruit new volunteers ‘The Buns’ are holding a volunteer day on this Sunday (21st March). Current, old and new members to the club are more than welcome to attend. This starts at 2.30pm at the club house in Tremorfa Park.
