Three Cardiff Rugby players have been selected in Wales’ match-day squad to face the Barbarians at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on Saturday.
Second row Teddy Williams returns to the international stage for the first time this season after injury, having been named in Steve Tandy’s starting XV for the uncapped fixture.
The 24-year-old regains his place in the Welsh squad and will partner Ben Carter in the second row.
There is also a potential first Wales appearance for Cardiff prop Rhys Barratt, who has been named among the replacements. The loose-head is one of four uncapped players included in Tandy’s squad and could make his senior international debut from the bench.
Barratt enjoyed a breakthrough season at Cardiff, establishing himself as a key member of the front row and earning his first call-up to the national set-up.
Joining him among the replacements is Mason Grady. The powerful winger returns to the international fold after another strong season in the capital and provides a versatile and dynamic option in the backline.
The fixture marks the beginning of Wales’ summer campaign, with the Barbarians providing a stern test ahead of next week’s clash with Fiji in the Nations Championship.
