Cardiff Blues and SAQ International have teamed up to provide the Region’s players with thousands of pounds worth of state of the art conditioning equipment.

In addition the Cardiff Blues’s conditioning team will undertake SAQ Awards and receive special training in the use of SAQ Equipment, including the redeveloped Side-Stepper. SAQ International will closely follow team and individual progress throughout the season and study the ‘SAQ Effect’ on player performance. Other regions will be watching closely, some of whom still do not use the guaranteed results of the SAQ Continuum in their organisation.

David Young, Director of Rugby at the Blues is delighted with the partnership

“It is vital, in pursuit of our goal to be one of the top sides in UK and Europe that we are at the cutting edge of fitness and conditioning. Our partnership with SAQ International will ensure that all our players have the opportunity to develop to their full potential. The SAQ Awards and SAQ Equipment that all our conditioning team will receive, will up skill the whole Blues rugby family, from our senior internationals to our Academy teams and through to Age Grade Rugby and local schools. Our aim is to produce better rugby players, not only for our Region but also for Welsh Rugby.”
