Cardiff Rugby will mark the passing of Life President Peter Thomas CBE ahead of Saturday’s European Challenge Cup clash with Sale Sharks (8pm).
Thomas passed away at home on Wednesday morning, surrounded by his family.
The former hooker enjoyed an association with the club spanning six decades and served as chairman for 22 years. You can read the full obituary here.
A book of condolence has been opened at Cardiff Arms Park for supporters to sign, while flowers can also be left outside the clubhouse.
Ahead of kick-off both sides and Cardiff Rugby staff will observe a minute’s silence followed by a minute’s applause on the pitch.
Further details of the club’s plans to commemorate Peter’s extraordinary contribution will be announced in the coming days.
