Cardiff Rugby launch 2023-24 kit with Macron

First Team News | 7th September 2023

Cardiff Rugby have today launched two striking new Macron kits for the 2023-24 season - with pink making a return alongside the traditional blue and black.

Both jerseys feature a half and half design that combine tradition with a contemporary feel and champion sustainability thanks to Macron’s Eco Fabric, which is made from 100% recycled plastic.

Following last week’s announcement of RSK Group, which is emblazoned on the front of the jerseys alongside MSS Group, the use of Eco Fabric is another example of the club’s commitment to sustainability.

The home jersey is of course, and unashamedly, Blue and Black while the alternate jersey sees the club return to the hugely popular electric pink seen in previous seasons.

These colours are then reversed on the shoulders with a black crew neck collar and the words ‘Nerth Trwy Undod – Strength Through Unity’ running along the inside.

Cardiff’s home strip is completed with black shorts and blue and black socks, with the club’s founding year 1876 in white on both the shirt and socks.

The alternate kit sees some subtle changes to the design, with black or pink shorts available and black, pink and white socks.

The Body Fit shirts are made from Eco Armevo with Eco Bodytex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts for maximum strength as well as lightness and breathability. Replica versions of the new kits along with all the other items in the teamwear collection produced by Macron for Cardiff Rugby

Cardiff launched their new look in dynamic video featuring first team stars Josh Turnbull, Thomas Young, Rey Lee-Lo and Theo Cabango, Women’s Under-18s duo Shanelle Williams and Tilly Vucaj and Josh Flowers, a regular for the club’s wheelchair rugby team.

An event will take place at the WRU Shop on Westgate Street tonight from 6pm with Owen Lane, Ben Thomas, Teddy Williams, James Botham and Ellis Bevan in attendance.
