Cardiff RFC will begin their 2026/27 Super Rygbi Cymru campaign with a trip west to face Carmarthen Quins before returning to the Arms Park for a highly anticipated home opener against Swansea.

The fixture schedule for the new SRC season has now been confirmed, with Cardiff looking to build on an impressive 2025/26 campaign that saw them finish top of the regular season standings before narrowly missing out on a place in the Grand Final.

The Blue & Blacks will face a challenging start to the new season, opening away at Carmarthen Quins on the weekend of September 12 before consecutive home fixtures against Swansea and Pontypool.

A key early test arrives in Round Four when Cardiff travel to take on last season’s runners-up Ebbw Vale, while a repeat of last season’s semi-final against champions Llandovery is scheduled for the weekend of November 21.

The festive period includes home encounters against Newport, RGC and Bridgend, alongside an away trip to RGC on Boxing Day. The league campaign concludes with a demanding run-in, featuring trips to Llandovery and Newport among Cardiff’s final three fixtures.

The 10-team competition will once again see clubs competing for the SRC Trophy, SRC Cup and SRC Challenger Shield, with Cardiff aiming to convert regular-season success into silverware.
