Cardiff Blues must learn from mistakes ahead of season-defining Connacht clash says Williams

Lloyd Williams insists Cardiff Blues must learn from their mistakes in Friday’s defeat to Munster ahead of a season-defining clash in Galway next week.

It was a brave and spirited performance from Wales’ Capital Region in Cork, but the Irish province showed their ruthless streak to cross for six tries and seal maximum points.

Despite three well-worked scores for the visitors, they left Irish Independent Park empty-handed, and the scrum half admits the best team won on the night.

“We have a huge game out in Galway next week, and we know that every game during this time of year is important,” said the Welsh international.

“We’ll look back at tonight and see what we can improve and go over to Connacht next week and look to get that win.

“Fair play, Munster played extremely well this evening.

“We performed well in the first half, even if we didn’t have that much possession, but the best team won on the night.

“You’ll always get games where decisions go against you, but that’s part of the game and you have to move on.”
