Cardiff Blues are pleased to confirm Papa John’s UK as its Official Pizza Partner for the next two seasons.
The takeaway pizza company has been operating for more than 30 years and has franchises in more than 5,000 locations in 45 countries and territories across the world.
Papa John’s has been working with Wales’ Capital Region for a number of months and has now penned the perfect pizza partnership, which will see branding opportunities around the iconic Arms Park and the ability to engage with our loyal support base.
Cardiff Blues Chief Operating Officer, Rhys Blumberg said: “It’s great to welcome Papa John’s to the Cardiff Blues Family and we are looking forward to working together during the next few years and strengthening an already strong relationship
“They are clearly a hugely successful, well-established and globally recognised brand, who will add real value to our business and supporter base, while we can help them engage new markets.
“It’s a partnership which both parties are excited to build upon when supporters are allowed to return to the Arms Park. We really want to further enhance the match-day experience at our iconic home and Papa John’s can play a key role in this.”
As part of the partnership, Wales international Seb Davies will also become an ambassador for Papa John’s and have the opportunity to create his own unique pizza, which will be available to purchase from participating stores.
There are currently three Papa John’s Pizza takeaways in Cardiff with numerous other stores throughout the Cardiff Blues region.
Tim Circus, Epoch Group Papa John’s Franchise, Managing Director, added: “We’re delighted to confirm this partnership with Cardiff Blues and really excited for what the future holds.
“Cardiff Blues is a globally recognised brand in rugby and not only has a highly engaged audience and following, but does a huge amount within its communities.
“With more than 40 Papa John’s franchises, including three within Cardiff itself and others throughout South Wales, this is a great opportunity for us to engage with the team’s loyal customer base and add further value to them.
“We are also looking forward to working with Cardiff Blues to improve and enhance the match day experience at Cardiff Arms Park when supporters are permitted to attend live sport.
“This promises to be an exciting partnership, which we want to develop over the months ahead and we cannot wait to join you at the famous Arms Park.”
