Ioan Emanuel has returned to the Arms Park on a second season-long loan from Bath Rugby.
The former Wales Under-20 international will provide further strength in depth to the front-row, while continuing his development with both Cardiff Rugby and Cardiff RFC.
Emanuel spent much of 2025-26 in the Welsh capital, making two first team appearances and 15 for the Rags, while returning to Bath for Prem Rugby Cup action.
That arrangement will continue this season as the Blue & Blacks and West Country outfit continue to collaborate.

“He’s a great young man, from a good family and he has a promising future in the game. He reunites with Steff and that in itself is special and an exciting prospect.
“He gives us further strength and depth in the front-row. While he is familiar with our environment, he will continue to develop his game day-to-day and compete for the jersey whether with the Cardiff or Cardiff RFC.”
Emanuel came through the Cardiff Rugby pathway before moving to Millfield School and linking up with Bath.
He will compete with international duo Scott Sio and Danny Southworth, as well as fellow Llantwit Fardre product Rhys Barratt for the loosehead berth at the Arms Park.
Emanuel said: “I’m very grateful to Bath for allowing me the opportunity to continue my development by playing at Cardiff.
“I really enjoyed my time there last season, securing a lot of game time with the RFC, while making my senior debut and also returning to Bath for the PREM Cup. I’m looking forward to that and hopefully kicking on.”
