Cardiff Rugby are pleased to add Harrison Rock to their senior academy intake ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The sizeable tight-head prop, who has progressed through Llantristant RFC, Ysgol Llanhari and Coleg Cymoedd, is the latest to progress into the top tier of the pathway.

He joins the likes of Sion Davies, Osian Darwin-Lewis, Ollie Das, Thomas Howe, Evan Rees, Kodie Stone and Dylan Barratt.

Academy manager Gruff Rees said “We have had Harrison in our environment for some time now as a special project and, despite some injury frustrations, he has really impressed. I’m also so pleased he was rewarded with national exposure.

“We have worked closely with him on the best fit around his educational ambitions and will support his studies in Zoology around our programme to ensure he gets the appropriate training load as well as EDC opportunities.”

Having accelerated his development at Cymoedd this season, Rock has enjoyed senior playing opportunities with both Pontypridd and Glamorgan Wanderers. He also recently featured for Wales Under-19s against Italy and Ireland.
