Rugby stars from the Cardiff Blues will add their weight to the Cardiff Festival this weekend as the highly anticipated opening event of Summer in the City, the Tesco Childrens Festival, comes to town on Saturday and Sunday.
Members of the Blues squad, including internationals Ben Evans, Craig Quinnell and Gareth Williams, will be on hand during the festival to show visitors their ball-handling skills, sign autographs and distribute giveaways.
The Cardiff Blues will be taking part in numerous events this summer, with the pinnacle of activity surrounding the Blues Family Fun Day at Cardiff Arms Park on July 24th. Back to this weekend and the Blues, including fans favourite, Bruiser, and qualified coaches will be at the event in Coopers Field, Bute Park, to promote the region and run coaching sessions for young supporters from 10.30am each day.
Commercial manager Tina Tew said: “Our young supporters have a special place at The Blues and the boys are excited about getting involved in the Festival this weekend.
To celebrate the teams involvement in the Cardiff Festival we have 20 pairs of tickets to giveaway for each day.

Earlier on today, tickets were given to two Cardiff schools under-13s girls teams, Ysgol Plasmawr and Llanishen, who were taking part in the finals day at the Millennium Stadium. More news on their efforts will be published soon.
