Blues Cup and Plate quarter-final draw

The Blues Cup and Plate quarter final draw has taken place this week following an enthralling group stage competition that saw clubs battling it out through October to December.

There were 84 games played in the pool stage of the U12, U13 and U14 competition with many of the groups being decided in the final round of fixtures.

This outstanding statistic is testament to the players, coaches, supporters, and volunteers who have taken part in the competition.

There are some standout games in the quarter final stages of the Blues Cup and plate that include local derbies and clubs travelling the width and breadth of the region to fight for a Semi-final spot.

In the U12s Cup competition Llantrisant host neighbours Llantwit Fardre in a mouth-watering derby while in the plate there is an all Powys winner takes all fixture with Brecon hosting Builth Wells.

In the U13 Cup competition the much fancied Pontypridd outfit host St Peters and in the plate surprise package Gwernyfed travel to Dinas Powys.

The U14 competition provides a wide spread of teams from the region with the pick of the games coming in the form of Penarth V CRICC in the Cup and Abercynon hosting Cowbridge in the plate.

The play by date for the quarter final stage is on or before Sunday 26^th February 2017.
