Supporters heading to Principality Stadium for the Autumn Nations Championship are being encouraged to make a full day of it, with Fanzone Cymru offering an unforgettable pre and post-match experience in the heart of Cardiff.
Located at Cardiff Arms Park, the official Welsh Rugby Supporters’ Fanzone will once again provide a vibrant focal point for fans of all ages, creating an electric atmosphere before kick-off and long after the final whistle.
The announcement of Fanzone Cymru adds to an already exciting programme of matchday entertainment planned across the Autumn Nations Championship fixtures in Cardiff. Supporters attending the Wales v Japan clash will enjoy a special half-time performance from the renowned, Britains Got Talent Finalists. Ysgol Glantaf Boys’ Choir, while fans at the Wales v Australia fixture can look forward to a high-energy half-time set from crowd-favourite The Stickmen Project.
Opening from 11am for Japan and New Zealand matches and from 12pm for Australia via the Westgate Street entrance, Fanzone Cymru will be free to enter and packed with entertainment, activities, food and drink, ensuring supporters can soak up the matchday excitement from the moment they arrive in the city centre.
Fans can enjoy live music throughout the day, and for Wales v Japan, there are plenty of family-friendly activities including face painting and children’s entertainment, as well as competitions and prize giveaways. A wide range of food and drink options will also be available, providing the perfect setting for friends and families to gather ahead of one of the biggest fixtures of the autumn.
Adding to the family funday atmosphere, Cardiff Arms Park will also host a junior tag rugby festival exclusively ahead of the Japan game, giving hundreds of young players the opportunity to be part of a major international matchday. More than 38 clubs have already signed up, with places filling fast across the 50 available slots. Clubs wishing to secure a place for their junior teams are encouraged to contact Cardiff Rugby Community to apply and be part of one of the biggest grassroots rugby celebrations of the autumn.
With thousands expected to descend on Cardiff for the clash with Japan, supporters are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of the full matchday offering.
