Tonga back-row forward Maama Molitika returned to the Cardiff Blues in the summer of 2007 after a season in Japan with IBM Big Blue RFC. Maama made his debut for Tonga in June of 1997 against Fiji and was in the Pacific Islanders rugby union team squad that toured Europe in 2006. In 2002-03 he was Brigend's joint top try scorer of the season, and was a part of the team that went onto win the Welsh Premiership for the first time in the club's history. He then played for Celtic Warriors, before signing for Harlequins in the English premiership and moving on to the Cardiff Blues.
