Health and Wellbeing Programme
The Health and Wellbeing Programme is a six-week initiative which is ran free of charge across the region. The programme helps develop students' understanding of their health and wellbeing by using a mixture of both theory and practical lessons, explore a range of aspects such as mental health and healthy eating through the use of sport.
Raising Aspirations is a nine-week programme designed for pupils in Year 8 and 9 with low aspirations, to help guide and support them in attaining new goals and a sense of direction in the near future. This programme explores topics such as communication skills, goal setting, leadership and career pathways. The programme will develop pupil engagement and bridge the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers, raising aspirations for careers and education prospects.
Re-Engage is a 10-week programme designed for pupils in Year 10 and 11 that are disengaged from school. The programme aims to re-engage students, develop key life skills and enhance their understanding of further education and employment possibilities. This programme aims to give pupils the chance to develop their employability skills and reach new potential that they didn't believe was possible.
We run a variety of BTEC courses across the region in partnership with Cardiff and Vale College. Our current sites are at Cardiff Arms Park, and our partner school Crickhowell High School in Powys.
