Head coach David Young was keeping his feet on the ground after the Blues’ nine-try demolition of Munster at the Arms Park.

He said, “We played some good rugby and scored several great tries. We will enjoy this victory but must now stay focused ahead of the next match away to the Warriors.”

Young refused to speculate on his team’s chances of Heineken Cup qualification with two weekends of the Celtic League campaign still to play. The Warriors win in Edinburgh has guaranteed their own European fortunes but the Ospreys could only draw in Leinster, gaining them two points. The Blues now trail the Ospreys by four points.

“We only think about our own games, ” he said, “and as for the other Welsh teams whatever will be, will be. I have said all along that the issues will go right down to the wire in the last matches and nothing has changed.”

Scrum-half Ryan Powell, who hobbled off the field in the seventh minute, has a bruised hip.
