Junior Blues fan James Herald has won the competition to be the Cardiff Blues mascot for their crunch match against fierce rivals Newport-Gwent Dragons.

7 year-old James was chosen from hundreds of young Blues fans that had entered the competition after it was publicised in the South Wales Echo and on the Blues website.

James, an aspiring Number 8, attends Thornhill Primary School and has just started learning to rock climb. His favourite players are James Malpas, Rhys Williams and Iestyn Harris.

As Blues mascot, James will have an opportunity to meet fans favourite Bruiser!
