Stanger leads Cardiff for campaign finale

Women | 18th February 2023

Riley Stanger will lead Cardiff U18 as their campaign wraps up against Scarlets at Ystrad Mynach on Sunday (KO 1pm).

The Blue and Blacks head into the final round of the Championship having already secured the title, maintaining a 100 per cent record along the way.

Head coach Darren Bool has opted to make a number of changes to the matchday squad in a bid to ensure all players are handed game time in the club jersey.

Stanger is joined by Ella Fry and Izabel Wing in the back row, with Meg Morris and Maisy Wiggins linking up at lock.

A front row of Libby Edwards, Shanelle Williams and Niamh Padmore completes the pack.

Macy Banwell comes into the number 10 jersey to partner scrum half Seren Lockwood, with Raylee Caviell and Nia Fajeyisan forming the centre partnership.

Lowri Davies, Madison Isgrove and Rhianna Bryant are all selected to start in the back three for the Ystrad Mynach clash.

On an extended bench, Wales U18 international Rachel Thomas-Evans returns from injury to take her place in the matchday squad.

A number of players will be involved for the first time this season, while others such as captain Katie Sims will play their final match for Cardiff at this level.
