Regional All Star Ultimate XV | Outside Centre

First Team News | 6th May 2020

After Jamie Roberts came out on top for the number 12 jersey, will the other Jamie join him in midfield?

One of the tightest calls for a place in the Cardiff Blues Ultimate XV was at outside centre, as a late charge from Jamie Robinson saw off the challenge of Casey Laulala, Tom Shanklin, Rey Lee-Lo, Gareth Thomas and Owen Williams.

The former Glantaf student now goes head-to-head with Jonathan Davies, Andrew Bishop and Matthew J Watkins for an opportunity to partner Jamie Roberts at centre.

Wales international Jamie Robinson was another dangerous attacker, and his record of 29 tries in 108 appearances sees him ranked fourth on the region’s all time try-scoring list. He was also the Celtic League’s top try scorer in the 2003/04 season.

Robinson also touched down for seven tries in 23 appearances for Wales and spent a decade at the Arms Park, captaining the region, before moving to Toulon.
