Only 500 Cardiff Blues season tickets available at Cardiff Arms Park

31st July 2012

Cardiff Blues will be capping the amount of season tickets sold at Cardiff Arms Park.

Cardiff Blues bosses have been delighted with the uptake of season ticket sales since taking the decision to move back to the Arms Park.

Prices for an adult season ticket start from as low as £215 for a reserved seat in the Grandstand, which went on sale later than usual at the end of May.

A terrace season ticket costs just £180 which gives access to every one of the 17 home games at the Arms Park, including the big Heineken Cup matches against Toulon, Montpellier and Sale Sharks.

A terrace season ticket works out at just £10.58 per match which is outstanding value to watch some of the Blues take on some of best teams in Europe.

Season ticket renewals are over 70% with a majority of those not already renewed in the unreserved terrace at the Arms Park.

The Blues have taken the decision to cap the amount of season tickets available to purchase and are urging supporters who have not already purchased season ticket to do so soon to avoid disappointment.

The breakdown on sales sees a fairly even balance of those who are first time Cardiff Blues season ticket holders and supporters who are returning to purchase a season ticket after a number of years:

34% of season ticket holders are new customers

54% of the new customers have held a previous membership with Cardiff Blues

46% of new customers are first time season ticket holders

Speaking of the sales, Cardiff Blues CEO Richard Holland said,

“We have priced our season tickets extremely competitively and they are cheaper than they were at the Cardiff City Stadium.

“The move back to the Arms Park has proved to be extremely popular with supporters and we are up by 35% on revenue from this point last year.

“Our goal is to sell a quarter of the capacity at the Arms Park as season tickets and we are very close to reaching this, so we are delighted.

“Historically our terrace season ticket holders are always the last to sell and we are encouraging supporters who have not already purchased their season tickets to do so ahead of our first friendly match of the season against Worcester on the 11th of August.

Tickets will be online at or by calling the ticket office on 029 2030 2030. Supporters can also purchase tickets from the Arms Park shop leading up to the game and from the ticket office, situated opposite the Angel Hotel, on match days.
