Cardiff Rugby is delighted to announce a new long-term partnership with DragonBet, who will become the club’s Official Betting Partner and an Official Kit Partner until the end of the 2028/29 season.
The three-year agreement represents one of the most significant new commercial partnerships secured by the club in recent seasons and will see DragonBet branding feature prominently on the collar of Cardiff Rugby’s kits and across the iconic Arms Park
The partnership will also include a wide range of digital, matchday and commercial rights, including sponsorship of Cardiff Rugby’s highly engaged New Signings, Re-signings and Team Sheets content, alongside LED and big screen advertising on event and match-days.
DragonBet are a proud family-owned Welsh business with strong roots in Cardiff and a deep connection to Welsh sport. The company has established itself as one of the leading supporters of sport in Wales, with existing partnerships including Cardiff City and Glamorgan Cricket.
Importantly, DragonBet branding will not appear on any junior replica kit.
Instead, Cardiff Rugby and DragonBet will work together on community and charitable initiatives, often with a focus on awareness and responsible gambling, as part of the wider partnership.
The partnership will officially launch ahead of Cardiff Rugby’s upcoming BKT United Rugby Championship quarter final in Cape Town, South Africa, marking the start of an exciting new relationship between two ambitious Welsh organisations.
Cardiff Rugby Commercial Director Jack Butler said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome DragonBet to Cardiff Rugby as our Official Betting Partner and Official Kit Partner.
“This partnership represents a significant commercial moment for the club and we’re really excited about where we can take it together over the next three years.
“Betting is already well established within professional rugby and the URC, but what made this opportunity particularly exciting for us was the chance to partner with a strong, ambitious and fast growing Welsh brand with genuine Cardiff roots and a real passion for Welsh sport.
“A huge thank you to David, Josh, Seb and everyone at DragonBet for their support and enthusiasm throughout the process. We’re really looking forward to building something special together.”
DragonBet Co-Founder David Lovell said:
“Cardiff Rugby has been part of my life since I was a boy, standing on the terraces and supporting my local club, so this partnership is a genuinely special one for me personally. To now see DragonBet partnering with a club that means so much to me, particularly at a time when there is such positivity, energy and momentum around Cardiff Rugby, makes it even more exciting. As the club celebrates its 150th year, it feels like a brilliant moment to come together and support the next chapter of such an iconic rugby institution.”
The partnership further strengthens Cardiff Rugby’s growing commercial portfolio ahead of the club’s landmark 150th anniversary season and reflects the continued ambition of both organisations to invest in Welsh sport and local communities.
