Harri Millard is the latest homegrown talent to pen a new long-term contract at Cardiff Rugby.

The versatile back has now made 59 appearances for the club, crossing for 16 tries and is currently the 2024-25 BKT United Rugby Championship’s leading try-scorer.

After an impressive run of form following injuries last season, Millard has cemented his place as a key figure in the team.

He has now been rewarded with a long-term contract, having signed a one-year deal last summer, and Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt believes he can continue his progression.

Sherratt said: “We are delighted to keep Harri here at Cardiff.  He has come through our system and has taken his second opportunity with us with both hands.

“The most exciting part of Harri staying is the fact that we have only seen glimpses so far of his talent. He has begun to show that with this run of form this season.

“He has a great work ethic, good feet and acceleration and understands our game.  I genuinely believe Harri can cement a regular starting position here at Cardiff and push on for higher recognition.”

Millard follows fellow pathway products Liam Belcher, Teddy Williams, Alun Lawrence, Ben Thomas and Cam Winnett, in signing a new deals at the Arms Park.

The 28-year-old was delighted to agree a new deal and is determined to contribute to an exciting future at the club.

He added: “I’m really glad to have signed a new contract with Cardiff. This is obviously my home club and we have a great group of players and coaching staff building together.

“We also have the best support at the Arms Park so I am really looking forward to the next few seasons and playing my part as we continue to grow and develop as a group.”
