Cardiff Blues have agreed for centre Marc Stcherbina to join Newport Gwent Dragons on a loan agreement with immediate effect.
Cardiff Blues Chief Executive, Robert Norster said:
This move is a logical arrangement for all parties. The Dragons approached us as they were seeking an experienced first team centre and asked whether we would consider their request.
"Following what was an extended period of injury last season, Marc is now fully fit and will be able to achieve more game time at the Dragons for the coming season.
"Marc has always been a very popular figure here and all at the Cardiff Blues wish him well for his time at Rodney Parade.
Australian born Stcherbina joined Cardiff Blues from Northampton Saints in 2005 and won his Blues cap after playing 52 times for the region. Unfortunately Marc spent most of last season recovering from a shoulder operation sustained in September last year.
