The Blues can confirm that there are fewer than 500 seated tickets left for their Black Friday match against the Scarlets and the Boxing Day match against the Dragons

The Blues are encouraging their supporters to help ‘Make Black Friday a Blue Friday’, when the Blues welcome the Scarlets to Cardiff Arms Park on Friday 21 December, 7.05pm kick off. The last match before Christmas is sure to be a hotly contested encounter with the East v West derby always proving popular with supporters. Tickets are selling fast and supporters are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to reserve their seats.

Boxing Day sees the Blues face the Dragons and aiming to do the double over the Gwent region, having recorded a win over them in Round 3 at Rodney Parade earlier this season. The match has added significance with both sides desperate to secure Heineken Cup qualification for next season.

The best Welsh rugby talent will be on display when the teams meet for these crucial RaboDirect PRO12 encounters. The likes of Blues Flanker Sam Warburton and wing Alex Cuthbert will be looking forward to facing their international colleagues at the spiritual home of welsh rugby. The Scarlets will no doubt field George North, and Jon Davies while Dragons Number 8 Toby Faletau always proves a handful to the opposition defence.

Both fixtures are Category A matches and priced at £22 for adults in the Central Seating area and £18 on the Terrace.

Speaking of the game Cardiff Blues Chief Executive, Richard Holland, said,

“We are delighted that we were able to secure two home fixtures over the festive period for our supporters to enjoy.

“Tickets for both matches are selling fast with only a limited number of seated tickets still available.

“We are encouraging our supporters to purchase their ticket as soon as possible to guarantee their seats for these big matches.”

Cardiff Blues Director of rugby Phil Davies added,

“I’m really looking forward to our Christmas fixtures at the Arms Park against my old team the Scarlet on Black Friday and the Dragons on Boxing Day.

“They are two massive games and we want to get the Arms Park bouncing.

“We have had a great atmosphere here already, but if we really want to move it on, we have to give the fans something to shout about.

“The stadium is great because the fans are on top of the players, particularly when it’s full, so I’m really looking forward to it.

“Cardiff v Llanelli was a massive fixture when I was playing and maybe a bit of old school performing is needed on the day.”

Tickets are likely to sell out for these festive fixtures, so supporters are encouraged to purchase their tickets early online at www.cardiffblues.com/tickets or calling 029 2030 2030
