Lee-Lo starts for Samoa

30th June 2017

Rey Lee-Lo has been named in Samoa's starting line-up for Saturday's Pacific Nations Cup opener against Tonga.

Lee-Lo, who picked up the 2016/17 Peter Thomas Player of the Year award, continues his partnership with Ospreys' Kieron Fonotia in the centre, with Chiefs' Tim Nanai Williams, the brother of Cardiff Blues number eight Nick Williams, the only change to the backline that were narrowly defeated by Wales in Apia last week.

The fixture will be the first Test match held at Tonga's Teufaiva Stadium since 2009, and the last time these two teams met, in Apia last year, Manu Samoa came out on top 30-10.

Another Samoan victory would ensure qualification for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
