Lee-Lo named in PRO14 Dream Team for second consecutive season

First Team News | 9th September 2020

Rey Lee-Lo has been named in the Guinness PRO14 Dream Team for the second season running.

The Samoan international has been a key figure in the Cardiff Blues midfield since arriving from Hurricanes in 2015, becoming a highly popular figure amongst supporters and team-mates at the Welsh capital.

Earlier this season, the centre hit a century of appearances for Wales' Capital Region and once again proved himself to be one of the outstanding midfielders in the Championship.

Lee-Lo played a stand-out role in victories over the likes of Toyota Cheetahs and Benetton Rugby, providing three try assists and proving a handful in both attack and defence throughout the campaign.

This year's nomination brings Lee-Lo level with Jonathan Davies, Brian O'Driscoll and Stuart McCloskey on two appearances in the annual Dream Team, with former Arms Park favourite Casey Laulala the only centre to be named on three occasions.

Dragons prop Leon Brown is the only other representative from Welsh sides, while semi finalists Edinburgh led the way with six selections. Finalists Ulster and Leinster were also represented alongside Benetton Rugby and Toyota Cheetahs.

The side was voted for by media from across all five countries including former players and coaches.
