Rory Jennings is the latest player to commit his future to Cardiff Rugby, signing a new contract to remain in Blue & Black.
The versatile play-maker arrived at the Arms Park from Newcastle Falcons llast summer and has proved to be a shrewd acquisition by Matt Sherratt.
He has made 17 appearances during his debut season at the club, providing the skill-set and game understanding to implement Sherratt’s attacking style and an intelligent kicking game from centre or fly-half.
And the Cardiff head coach is delighted to retain the services of the 29-year-old for another season.
He said: “Rory has added massive value to the club both on and off the field. His input to our game off the field has been excellent and most importantly he has brought exactly what we’d hoped for on the field.
“He adds to our game model in that second receiver role where he can connect our game with his voice and skill set. I’m delighted that we have been able to keep him at Cardiff.”
The former England Under-20s star, who has previously enjoyed time with Bath, Clermont Auvergne and London Irish, will compete with Ben Thomas, while helping to bring the likes of Stef Emanuel through.
Jennings added: “I’m really excited to be staying at Cardiff for another year.
“It was an easy decision for me to make in the end. We have a squad with a huge amount of talent and potential, and I have been impressed with the staff and players from the moment I joined.
“I’m now looking forward to contributing in any way I can to help the club win, during the season ahead.”
