Fun For All as Blues Tackle Tigers at the Stadium

24th October 2006

Young supporters from throughout the region have been rushing to buy tickets for Sunday’s Heineken Cup clash against the Leicester Tigers.

We have already sold over 13,000 tickets and it promises to be a great day. The Family Lounge at the Arms Park will be open as usual with face painting, balloons and games to keep our young fans busy before the big match and there will also be a supporter’s village behind the Club House for adults.

You can play your part in trying to break the current attendance record for a Pool match which was set last season when Toulouse faced London Wasps in front of a 34,000 strong crowd at Le Stadium, Toulouse. This year's record was set by Leinster who faced Gloucester in front of 22,500 last weekend.

On Monday the Blues launched 55 balloons from the roof of the Millennium Stadium with a voucher for a pair of tickets for any match so if you were lucky enough to find one of these balloons and the voucher remember to call in to the ticket office to collect you ticket.

Cardiff & District Under 11’s team who won the DC Thomas Cup and Rhondda Under 15’s who won the Dewer Shield will be parading their trophies at half time during the match so remember to give a big cheer to both teams.

Ynysowen Under 8's and Rhiwbina Under 8's will also be playing at half time as well as flag bearers before the match. They will be cheered on by hundreds of their own supporters as both clubs have been keen to take advantage of the new Blues cash back scheme .

The Cardiff Blues shop will also be moved inside the Millennium Stadium so remember to call in to collect your free poster.
