Cardiff Rugby’s Community Foundation is gearing up for another exciting half-term of rugby, with its February Half-Term Community ‘Fit and Fed’ Camps now on sale and set to deliver more unforgettable experiences for young players across the region.
Following record-breaking demand at previous camps, the Community Foundation is once again inviting children of all abilities to get involved in a week packed with fun, skills development and plenty of rugby at some of the most iconic venues in Welsh rugby. The camps are designed to keep young people active during the school break, while helping them build confidence, friendships and a love for the game.
The Cardiff Arms Park will once again play a central role in the February programme, giving participants the chance to train and play at the home of Cardiff Rugby. For many youngsters, stepping onto the Arms Park pitch is a memorable moment in itself, offering a unique behind-the-scenes insight into life at a professional rugby club. Cardiff Rugby Community Foundation will also be holding five camps outside of CAP, one in each unitary authority within the Cardiff Region.
Cardiff Rugby Community Director Nadine Griffiths is expecting another busy half-term, as demand continues to grow.
“The last camps were incredible and the appetite just keeps increasing,” said Griffiths. “We’re really excited to open bookings for February. These camps are all about giving kids the best possible experience, whether that’s improving their rugby, making new friends or simply having fun in a great environment.”
As in previous camps, the February Half-Term programme will focus on creating an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere, with sessions tailored to suit all levels of experience. Qualified coaches from the Community Foundation will lead engaging activities designed to challenge, encourage and inspire young players throughout the week.
“These camps are about so much more than rugby,” Griffiths added. “We see kids grow in confidence day by day, and the smiles at the end of each session make all the hard work worthwhile. It’s special being able to offer them the chance to train where their heroes play and feel part of the Cardiff Rugby family.”
The Community Foundation’s camps continue to be made possible thanks to the ongoing support of partners, schools and local organisations, helping to ensure opportunities remain accessible for families across the region.
With February Half-Term fast approaching and places expected to fill quickly, parents and guardians are encouraged to book early to avoid missing out. As Cardiff Rugby’s Community Foundation looks ahead to another action-packed week, the focus remains the same: inspiring the next generation, on and off the pitch.
