Cardiff Blues has confirmed that fly half Simon Humberstone will leave the region at the end of the current season to join Doncaster Knights.
Humberstone has made a total of 14 appearances for Blues, scoring 69 points, after making his debut in 2013 against Worcester Warriors in the LV=Cup.
The Basingstoke-born No.10 will now move to Castle Park for a new challenge from next season with the Knights.
Humberstone said: “I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone at Cardiff Blues for a fantastic spell and helping develop me as a player to this point in my career.
“I am just looking forward to getting up to Doncaster now, training hard and hopefully contributing to helping them get back to where they want to be.”
Billy Millard, Head of Elite Performance at Cardiff Blues, said: “Simon will leave Cardiff Blues at the end of this season and will do so with our best wishes for the future. He has been a popular member of the squad and I know has enjoyed his time in regional rugby.
“We have Gareth Anscombe, Rhys Patchell, Gareth Davies and Jarrod Evans all with us next season and so have depth in that position. We now wish Simon every success in England and in the English Championship with Doncaster.”
