Following the success of last season’s Regional Clubs Day, Cardiff Rugby have decided to split the event into two separate days and are delighted to announce Floodlighting Electrical as sponsors.
Last season we saw 3,700 supporters join us at the annual event, helping us sell out our BKT United Rugby Championship fixture with Connacht.
With the initiative such a success last season and to ensure clubs and children in different age groups do not miss out, Cardiff will now host a Junior and Minis Clubs Day.
Floodlighting Electrical will also sponsor the events, ensuring they can be bigger and better than ever before.
Nadine Griffiths, Cardiff Rugby Community Foundation director, said: “Following the success of last season, which saw the club enjoy a capacity crowd against Connacht for the first time, we are excited about the opportunity to host two events.
“Traditionally only one age group at a club could enjoy the offer, but by hosting individual Junior and Mini Club Days, we can increase our engagement with our community clubs and the children, who are the players and season ticket holders of tomorrow.
“Last year we had around 3,700 fans in the ground through free or discounted tickets in the initiative, coming from 47 clubs across the length and breadth of our regional pathway.
“Hopefully this season, and across two games, we can beat that and give even more people a memorable experience and taste of the action at the Arms Park.”
