Cardiff Rugby can confirm Ben Donnell will depart the club to join Ulster Rugby at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The versatile forward initially joined the Blue & Blacks on a short-term contract during the 2023-24 campaign and quickly impressed with his athleticism and physicality.
He has gone on to amass 26 appearances, scoring four tries, and is now eyeing a return to action in the weeks ahead following a calf injury.
Donnell said: “I am hugely grateful to the Cardiff Rugby coaches, players and supporters for the opportunity and backing they have given me over the past three years.

“I am working hard to get back out there soon and my full focus is on finishing the season strongly and giving everything I can to the group. I know there can be success for us this season.
“Looking further ahead, with my family roots in Belfast, it is an exciting next challenge but right now it is all about Cardiff and the rest of the season.”
Everyone at Cardiff Rugby would like to wish Ben the very best for the next chapter in his career, following the conclusion of the current season.
