Cardiff Women Under-18s finished their WRU Regional Age-Grade Championship campaign with a 14-47 defeat to RGC Piws at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman on Sunday.

Heading into the match, the Blue and Blacks were still in with an outside chance of retaining their title, but were without both captains plus other senior leaders through injury.

RGC Piws struck first with two early tries and despite Cardiff hitting back with a try from Cystal James, the North Walian side were firmly in control.

They scored four tries without reply to open up a 7-42 lead at half-time, and although Riley Stanger scored shortly after the break, RGC finished off the scoring with their seventh and final try of the game.

Cardiff ended the WRU Regional Age-Grade Championship in a creditable third place with RGC Piws crowned champions.
