Cardiff v Edinburgh double-header

Cardiff Rugby are pleased to confirm next weekend’s clash with Edinburgh will be a double header.

Following the success of similar events last season, more opportunities have been sought to stage back-to-back fixtures.

It can now be confirmed that Cardiff RFC’s Super Rygbi clash with Pontypool, which was due to be away from home has been switched to the Arms Park.

Both Cardiff RFC and Cardiff Rugby are very grateful to Pontypool for allowing this opportunity.

Cardiff RFC v Pontypool will kick-off at 4.25, with the first team’s BKT United Rugby Championship fixture against Edinburgh following at 7:45pm.

North terrace tickets for the double-header are available from £15, with unreserved access to the South Stand and Terrace for the RFC fixture.

The club continue to explore further opportunities to stage double-headers at the Arms Park and will update supporters if this is possible.

We have also explored the feasibility of moving URC fixtures to earlier kick-off times.

The club are acutely aware of supporters’ frustration at the number of late kick-offs and this has been shared with the URC.

Our preference, as ever, is an equal split between Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.

Unfortunately, due to broadcaster restrictions and team travel arrangements, no changes have been possible to date. Cardiff continue to work with the URC.
