Cardiff under-18 have confirmed their side to take on RGC in the opening round of the Regional Age Grade Championship campaign on Sunday (KO 2.30pm).
Chadd Mutyambizi’s side head up the A470 to kick off their season, having come within a whisker of the title last season.
The Blue and Blacks are without players from Cardiff & Vale College, who were crowned the National Schools & Colleges champions on Wednesday following a thrilling final victory over Coleg Sir Gar. Martyn Fowler’s side are currently in Thailand, competing in an international tournament alongside the likes of Grey College (South Africa), Millfield (England) and Hamilton Boys (New Zealand).
Loosehead prop Max Bignall will captain the side at Colwyn Bay, as he forms the front row alongside Gavin Parry and Isaac Godfrey. Dylan McDonald links up with Harri Holden in the second row, as a back row of Owen Conquer, Jacob Banfield and Evan Rees complete the pack.
Josh Pearce and Lloyd Lucas are given the nod at half back, while Gethin O’Callaghan is joined by Ben Spittle in midfield. An exciting back three consists of Matty Young, Kodie Stone and Dylan Scott.
