As the countdown to the 2025-26 season continues, Cardiff Rugby are delighted to welcome SteelPhalt™ as a new Official Kit Partner.
SteelPhalt, a leader in sustainable asphalt solutions since the 1960s, have had a growing presence in the capital since 2019.
They have enjoyed a growing relationship at the Arms Park over the past two years and sponsored Cardiff RFC last season.
Now they will adorn the sleeves of the first team squad jersey as both parties strive towards excellence and creating positive impacts within the wider community.
Cardiff Rugby Head of Business Development, Jason Harries, said: “We welcomed SteelPhalt to the Cardiff Rugby family back in 2023, and the relationship has continued to grow each year.
“They have been a great partner to Cardiff RFC, building a strong presence at the club, while promoting their ethos of sustainability and innovation, which aligns to so much that we are doing.
“This partnership reflects a shared vision for a more sustainable future. We want to grow even further by implementing innovative solutions and driving meaningful change within the sport and the wider community.
“We are extremely proud to welcome SteelPhalt on to the sleeve of Cardiff Rugby playing kit. It’s been a real pleasure to work closely with SteelPhalt over the past two years and long may it continue.”
Steelphalt are the latest commercial partner to join, extend or renew their relationship at the Arms Park and further enhance the club’s eco-credentials.
The company’s mission is to transform steel slag, a by-product of steelmaking, into high-performance roadmaking products. The use of steel slag aggregate not only reduces the need for quarried materials but also provides a sustainable waste solution for steelmakers. By using up to 95% recycled materials in its asphalt products, the company continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
“We are extremely excited to continue and develop our relationship with Cardiff Rugby. To have SteelPhalt’s logo on the sleeve of Wales’s Capital Region is a proud moment for our South Wales Business”, said SteelPhalt’s Business Manager, Stuart Edbrooke.
