Cardiff Rugby Supporters’ Club held their Annual General Meeting last night at the Clubhouse, during which votes were counted for the annual awards.
Supporters’ club members have been submitting their votes over the last month and it proved a very popular one this year – it seems everyone wanted their say on last season!
The CRSC Blues Player of the Year award went to Paul Tito and the committee would like to congratulate Paul on yet another award for his all round performances and commitment to the cause. The runners up in this category were Maama Molitika and Deiniol Jones.
The award for the CRSC Most Improved Player of the Year was a tightly fought battle but in the end our winner was Jamie Roberts who won the CRSC Player of the Year for CRFC this time last year. Well Done Jamie! Not far behind Jamie was Tom James and so our congratulations for a great season go to him too.
The Player of the Year for Cardiff RFC also featured for the Blues in the final game of the season – Leigh Halfpenny. The awards will be presented to the winning players, along with awards for first Wales caps at an event organised by CRSC during the early part of next season – watch the programmes for details and we hope you will be able to join us.
