Cardiff Rugby are delighted to announce a new two-year partnership with Gwalia Surveyors.

The trusted and long-established surveying business have been working with the Blue & Blacks for five years and have now cemented their commitment to precision, performance, and pride in representing Cardiff.

In Cardiff alone, Gwalia Surveyors have played a key role in shaping over £2.5 billion worth of development, including Cardiff Central Square, Brains Brewery redevelopment, the new Cardiff Arena, and the iconic Principality Stadium.

Jason Harries, Head of Business Development at Cardiff Rugby, said: “We’re proud to partner with Gwalia Surveyors, whose expertise and community understanding aligns to Cardiff Rugby’s ethos perfectly. At Cardiff Rugby, professionalism and precision are core values, qualities we see reflected in Gwalia’s work across South Wales and especially here in the heart of the capital, in Cardiff.

“This partnership brings together two organisations that care deeply about standards, safety, and long-term growth. Credit must go to Llyr Lane, Managing Director of Gwalia Surveyors, who has been integral in pulling this partnership together. We’re looking forward to working closely with Gwalia Surveyors as we build a stronger future on and off the field.”

Founded over 43 years ago, Gwalia Surveyors has grown from a family-run practice into a leading multi-disciplinary surveying partner, delivering trusted services across Wales and the UK.

Gwalia’s Welsh roots, professional excellence, and community ethos mirror the values of Cardiff Rugby.

Llyr Lane, Managing Director of Gwalia Surveyors, added: “At Gwalia Surveyors, we’ve always believed in accuracy, reliability, and relationships — values we share with Cardiff Rugby. Our Welsh heritage runs deep, with ‘Gwalia’ deriving from the Medieval Latin ‘Wallia’, one of the historic names for Wales. That local pride, discipline and teamwork are the same principles that drive both rugby success and our delivery on major surveying projects.

“This partnership is about more than branding — it’s about shared values and community focus. Cardiff Rugby’s work in schools and grassroots rugby mirrors our own commitment to supporting local talent and opportunity. Having spent three years coaching Cardiff RFC, this partnership is also personal to me. The leadership, focus and high-performance culture I learned on the pitch continues to shape Gwalia today.

“Together, we are excited to champion Welsh excellence — on the pitch, on site, and in everything we do.”
