Cardiff Rugby are thrilled to agree a new partnership with Housr – the UK’s leading student accommodation app.
Housr were recently brought on board by the club as the title partner of the Cardiff Clash between BUCS Super Rugby rivals Cardiff University and Cardiff Met.
The partnership marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration between the two organisations and underlines Cardiff Rugby’s commitment to engaging with the city’s student community.
As part of the partnership, Housr will receive prominent matchday branding, digital exposure, and community engagement opportunities across Cardiff’s universities.
Jack Butler, Commercial Director at Cardiff Rugby, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Housr as an official club partner and the naming rights sponsor for the Cardiff Clash. Their focus on connecting students and creating a sense of community aligns perfectly with our values at Cardiff Rugby.
“Together, we’re aiming to grow the Housr Cardiff Clash into one of the city’s standout events, building stronger links between the club, Cardiff’s universities, and our young fan base.”
Born from two university friends struggling with the confusing rental process, Housr seeks to streamline student housing and utilities.
Founded by Harry Panter and Ben Clayton during their first year at University of Manchester, the co-founders identified the need to revolutionise an archaic, disjointed student rental process.
Using sophisticated AI, the app streamlines the administrative chore of securing rental property and the sourcing and payment of utilities in shared housing.
The app allows students to browse potential properties, save their favourites, book viewings and search with housemates. Housr also offers student perks, a roommate finder feature and all-in-one bills packages – with everything tracked in app. Letting agents and landlords benefit from managing their properties and tenants all in one place.
Amar Chana, Head of Partnerships at Housr, added: “Our partnership with Cardiff Rugby just makes sense – it’s a genuine win-win. Cardiff Rugby can share its student messaging directly with our engaged student community, while Housr continues to add value by partnering with one of the city’s most loved and respected clubs. Both Cardiff Met and Cardiff University students benefit from the features the Housr app offers to enhance their student experience, and this partnership helps bring the whole Cardiff student community closer together. Everyone wins.”
The next Housr Cardiff Clash will take place on Wednesday 3rd December 2025.
